You can watch the video of the Die-In here:

I must say, however, that the comments posted so far are rather dismaying--for the most part, "Communists," etc. So, here's my "ask," especially for those who were able to participate: Please post a comment--today--in support of the event--WITH THE EMPHASIS ON HEALTH CARE REFORM AS A MORAL IMPERATIVE. Our event yesterday really did try to steer away from partisan political wrangling and to concentrate on the solemn and heart-wrenching fact that people are suffering and dying every day because they lack health care coverage, and I would ask you to maintain that approach in whatever you post, but I think we need some "push back" here.
I'm going to be out of town for the weekend, so this is really a moment when we need the PACG community to step up to the plate and speak out.
And here's some exciting new information for most of you: because of our partnership with Campaign for Better Health Care, we were able to have a "live report" to the weekly national conference call of Faithful Reform in Health Care--right after the update with the White House. That means that faith activists around the country heard about our event and know that the video will be posted on the CBHC website (probably on Monday). As soon as that video is posted I'll let you know.
Also, Mary McCann, with Health Care for America Now in Iowa, also took a video, and we're looking forward to getting that link soon.
One other comment: THANK YOU to those of you who were able to be at the die-in. Whether or not you were one of the 12 who were asked to actually lie on the floor, everyone who came was valuable. As you know, I was standing across the room, so I had a great view of the visual impact of the action, and I can tell you that the line of people dressed in black, holding up identical signs with the black lettering, was very powerful, and it complemented the visual of people who came forward to lie on the floor. I know some of you who came, and I could list you here, but I don't want to omit anyone, so instead I'll just extend a blanket "thank you." (One mistake was that I didn't think about having a sign-in sheet--Sorry!) I hope that all of you who were there felt the power of the moment, as I did.
Have a great weekend (and wasn't it the weather yesterday just glorious!)
