Join us on Thursday November 7th at 5 pm for Green Drinks. Amy Kay from the City of Davenport will explain the programs available to property owners that protect and encourage the adoption of native prairie plantings. These programs also help with storm-water management practices. We ask that you register for this event by scanning the bar code or use this registration link.

Common Ground film screening with panel presentation - After Action Report

Environmental Forum
The Environmental Forum, along with the St. Ambrose Sustainability Committee, Citizens Climate Lobby, and ROCO films presented Common Ground to the community at the Rogalski Center on September 25th. This event was well attended with over 70 participants. The moderator was the President of the Green Life student group, Paige Magistrelli. The panel was comprised of Ann Wolf, Monte Bottoms and Robb Ewoldt, although Mr. Bottoms was only able to send a written message due to a family emergency. They discussed how they viewed the content of the film, how regenerative ag practices impact their own farming, and the issues they have encountered that make it difficult to be completely engaged in those practices. Power in Our Numbers Coalition

Power in Our Numbers, a coalition group that is also working with Vision Leads to increase voting in Scott County, is holding a Peoples Forum Saturday, October 12th at the Eastern Avenue Branch of the Davenport Public Library. Congressional District 1 discussion begins at 12:30 and Scott County Supervisors at 1:30.

The Power in Our Numbers coalition includes the Davenport NAACP, LULAC, and the American Association of University Women.

Take this opportunity to learn more about Congressional and Board of Supervisor candidates up for election.
