We are happy to announce that, beginning in December of 2019, Green Drinks - QC will meet at a new location and day of the month.

Huckleberry's Great Pizza and Calzones will host our monthly meetings at the same time of 5-7 pm on the first Tuesday of every month.

Join with other like-minded people in the area to discuss issues involving the environment. Come to network, socialize, and learn, all while having drinks!

Book Club

Everyone is welcome at our PACG Book Club discussions. We meet in the small community room on the Lower Level (LL) of the Davenport Main Public Library. We are continuing our theme of reading and discussing books about racial justice.

In December we will be discussing Honky by Dalton Conley. (Note: You can pick up a copy of our January book, Underground Railroad, from Alta at the December book discussion or at the PACG Holiday Party on December 5th.)

Current Scott County legislators have been invited to this forum to answer questions from members of the community. We want to send our reps off to the new legislative session with our concerns fresh on their minds.

We have invited the following legislators:
Sen. Chris Cournoyer, Rep. Monica Kurth, Sen. Jim Lycam, Rep. Gary Mohr, Rep. Ross Paustian, Sen. Roby Smith, Rep. Phyllis Thede and Rep. Cindy Winkler.

The forum is co-sponsored with Quad Cities Interfaith, NAACP Davenport Branch 4019, and Progressive Action for the Common Good.

Please register now to join us at the German American Heritage Center for a meal and celebration of another year of PACG. This is a free event to thank and celebrate with our supporters. Maria from Cafe Mundo will be catering the main entrees. You may have heard of the amazing tamales Maria has been selling to cover her treatment for her second battle with leukemia. She has agreed to cater our event with her delicious tamales and sides. Both meat and vegetarian options are available.

Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Optional Holiday Gift: We are asking for gently used books for the library for Cobblestone residents, either adult or children's books. They do not need to be wrapped. We will collect them in a box to donate to Cobblestone.

We will again present the annual Dick Fallow Social Justice Grant Award to a worthy local recipient.

Please join us again this year for food, fun and festivities. If you’re one of our many new members this year, come find out how much fun we progressives can have in the holiday season!

There is parking in the rear of the building or across the alley as well as on 2nd or 3rd Streets - but not on Gaines.

How Are Caucuses Conducted? - Thursday, November 7th at 6:00 pm

PACG, Quad Cities Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees (QCAIR), the AAUW and the Davenport Public Library

PACG, QCAIR, Inc., the American Association of University Women, and the Davenport Public Library are hosting Caucus Training on Thursday, November 7th, at the Fairmount Branch, Davenport Public Library. The training will begin at 6:00 pm and is open to all.

Did you know that the Democratic and Republican caucuses, while similar, are conducted differently? Many people have no idea how the caucuses are conducted or how they should go about supporting their respective candidates. You are invited to come learn about the caucus process and how they operate. After a brief explanation of the rules and process for the Democratic and Republican caucuses, attendees will be participating in a mock caucus; however, real candidates will not be used. Learn how to caucus by participating in our mock caucus!
