Climate change is an existential crisis, but local governments are very slow to change, or to find ways to reduce their carbon footprint. The City of Silvis has managed to work with area developers to build a solar array that produces 98% of the power for their police department.
Joshua Dyer, 4th Ward Alderman in Silvis, will share some of the lessons learned from this project and plans for future ones.
