This past November, Laura attended the annual United Nations COP27 conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. COP is the United Nations Climate Change Conference, and this was the 27th event held.
She was one of eight youth delegates from around the world who were representing the Lutheran World Federation. COP27 brought world governments, interest groups, and climate leaders together to achieve the world's collective climate goal: lowering the global temperature rise down to 1.5 C.
