New PACG organizer as Caroline leaves (and our new email address!)
This past Monday, June 30th, was my official last day as organizer (paid staff) for Progressive Action for the Common Good. I want to thank all of you for the opportunity to work for this great organization. It has been an incredible honor and a privilege, and I am grateful beyond words (if you can imagine that) :-).
Of course, I will still be involved as a volunteer and hope to take more of a leadership role in the Corporate Reform forum (I will be calling on you all in the future).
Last Thursday, during our PACG Community meeting, James and many others surprised me with a wonderful cake, a ballon bouquet, and a beautiful award of appreciation for 3 years as your organizer. THANK YOU SO MUCH PACG!!!
At this time I want to reiterate the need for all of us to help James as much as possible. We are still working on our fund drive... it is essential to the organization that we have your financial support as well as some of your time to further all of our important initiatives around the various issues that affect our lives as we continue to educate the community and encourage involvement.
Please commit to volunteering a little more of your time and yes, your resources to PACG. Campaigns come and go, but we are here for the long term, and without citizen groups like PACG, our elected leadership will not reflect our values. It is up to us to ensure that they do.
We will not be able to hire another organizer until we finish the fund drive so you can see how important it is that we do so. For the time being, I will still answer the PACG cell phone and continue to help send out email messages, etc., but we will need volunteers to take over some of my duties to lesson the work load on James. Please contact James or I to find out how you can help.
Henceforth, you will no longer receive the PACG email messages from my carolina1961@gmail address... as you can see we have created a new email address for this purpose ([email protected]).
Thank you PACG - for all that you do!
Peace and Love,
Caroline
