Important Update: We have a date and place for the Summit. It will be Sunday afternoon, March 26 (time to be determined) at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 25 at 4600 46th Ave, Rock Island, IL. Mark your calendar!
Summit Planning – Next Meetings – Mondays Feb 20 and March 6 at 6:30 pm at Bettendorf Public Library
We continue to meet to plan a multi-issue Summit for 2017. Our next general meetings will be Mondays, Feb 20 and March 6 at 6:30 pm at the Bettendorf Public Library (2950 Learning Campus Drive, Bettendorf, IA). Although we plan to meet on these dates, groups to plan the breakout sessions can meet other times/places at their convenience as some of you already have. The idea is to come up with action plans around core issues identified by your group. Feel free to implement some of the actions (like letter writing, calls/visits to elected officials) now if the situation calls for it. As you know, new issues seem to arise every day in this political climate.
At the upcoming meetings, Summit Planners will break into small groups to plan the breakout sessions. Please join us if you can. The Summit Planners have identified the issues listed below. Feel free to come to the meeting and propose additional issues or join one of the already operational issue groups below.

Note: Health Care Reform will meet on Tuesday, Feb 21 at 6:45 pm at St John’s Lutheran Church, 4501 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL. Join them there if you can. They will also try to have a representative at the Feb 20 general meeting.
