Visit with Eric Sorensen - After Action Report
In conjunction with the Eagle View Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Augustana Sierra Club, the PACG Environmental Forum had a constituent meeting with Representative Eric Sorensen's staff to advocate for him becoming a co-sponsor of the Red Rock Wilderness Act. This act was originally sponsored in 1989 by Utah Representative Wayne Owens, and was later reintroduced in 1997 by Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois. This act would help designate significant indigenous cultural resources, protect endangered species, and help keep climate-disrupting fossil fuels in the ground. The act is supported by more than 200 national and regional conservation organizations. Call your members of Congress and ask them to co-sponsor this important piece of legislation.
